Honey Bees and Honeycomb
Jeff picked up some honey with honeycomb still inside, and this led to a lively discussion with P and K about bees, their jobs, what products they make, how we use them, how it is harvested, bee life cycle, etc.
We also found a really good video on the honeybee life cycle.
In the end, we all got to eat some of the honeycomb, which was the highlight.

Leaf-Footed Bug
One of these neat bugs landed on our window allowing a pretty neat examination of its ventral side. P and I researched to find what kind of bug it was and what it ate. P made mention of its eyes in the front and that it looked kinda like an octopus or squid. It sucks juices out of plants and maybe other insects.

Kangaroo and the Muffin
As told by K, transcribed by Kristin.
"Once upon a time there was a little kangaroo listening in my ears. If he saw a turtle, he climbed the bed. And if he saw the rabbit, he saw the bird after him. And if he saw the tree bird on the tree, he wanted to play in the bedroom. And he wants to play in the kitchen. And he wanted to get the muffin."
